The Game was secondary to the BBQ Fundraiser the Wadena Learn to Play team put on for Tessa Anderson, A 4-year old girl from Wadena going through Leukaemia treatments. Tessa brother Taitum plays on the Learn to Play Wildcats. The BBQ was a huge success with over 500 burgers/smokies sold, raffle prizes, and homemade bracelets made and sold by Tessa’s cousin Syndey selling out. With the huge crowd behind the home team, the Royals shot out of the gate with Dylan Murias hitting a single, a Carson Scheschuck triple and Scott Comfort following it up with a two-run Home Run. Joey Leach kept the attack rolling in the second with a solo homer in 2. Cubs had chances with runners in a few innings but pitchers James Holowaty and Koby Faubert held the Cubs scoreless. The game was shot by Access Communications on a tape delay. Stay tuned for air dates.

The Junior Royals came out quick and had a 7-0 lead after the first and kept rolling throughout the game, building leads of 11-0 and 17-0 after the second and third innings, respectively. Koby Faubert pictured threw a complete game 4-hit shutout with four Junior Royals having 4-hit nights.

With the score 2-2 heading into the 3rd, the Blues would have two huge innings at the plate. The Blues had a solid lineup from top to bottom and managed to put together an impressive string of hits en route to the win

On a beautiful evening for ball the Blues and Merchants battled to a 4-4 tie. Pitchers Ryan Junop and Michael Jordan both kept the opposition in check. Brennan Hack had a great game for the Merchants going 3/4 and was matched by Wynyard’s Drew Litwin with a 3/4 outing.

With Tony Sparvier and Kevin Young getting the starts it was a close battle through 5. The Royals picked up 3 in the 6th to go up by 1 and Lance Holowaty had a clutch loaded bases 2 RBI double in the top of 7 for some insurance runs and the 6-3 win.

Wynyard jumped out to an early lead on starting Royals pitcher James Holowaty. The Royals battled back to a 8-7 score after 5 when they brought in Tony Sparvier who shut the door. The Royals scored one in 6 and Bradyn Melrose hit a 2 run walk off home run in the bottom of 7 for the win 10-8.

Inter-Conference games in Sheho Sunday

It was a pitchers duel from the onset between Wynyard’s Kevin Young and Rhein’s Justice Keshane. Rhein was only able to scratch 4 hits off of Young, with one of those being a 2 run home run off the bat of Even Neibrandt. The Blues battled back to tie the game with a strong game from Michael Jordan who had 3 doubles and walk. The Blues were able to load the bases in the bottom of the 7th but unable to score for the win.

Royals gave up 3 runs on the first 3 batters before Sparvier settled in and shut the door for the rest of the game. The Royals batters chipped away with no more than 2 runs an inning for a 6-3 win.

This game remained scoreless into the 3rd inning when the Wynyard bats woke up in a big way sending 10 batters up while scoring 7 runs. The Blues had 4 home runs by Josh Jordan, Adam Jordan, Jordy Karakochuk and Dylan Shewchuck. Mike Jordan was on the rubber for the Blues surrendering 1 run over 5 innings, with 3 hits.

A Close battle mid way at 2-2 was broken open with a big inning by Fishing Lake en-route to a 12-2 victory.

The Royals bats kept rolling in their 4th game of the day racking up 7 runs off Da Boyz thrower Francis Bird. Da Boyz got a couple runs in the 1st off pitcher Tony Sparvier who gave up the mound after 1 with some discomfort. James Holowaty took over and shut out Da Boyz for 6 innings.

The Blues came on strong to start the game with 4 runs in the first and were consistent scoring every inning. Mike Jordan earned the win for the Blues throwing all 7 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 16 batters. Dylan Shewchuck was 2/3 with 2 walks, scoring 5 runs and hitting a home run.
