In the Richardson Pioneer Mens Fastball League Tuesday night, the Rosebud Royals split their games in Fishing Lake. The Fishing Lake Mariners picked up a 6-2 win against the Royals in the early game while the Rosebud squad defeated the Fishing Lake Cubs 23-11 under the lights at Fishing Lake.

In game 1 the Mariners got a few early runs but Royals pitcher Steve Moulding but he settled in holding the Mariners to 6 runs. However, Mariners Ace Dusty Keshane kept the Royals off the bases for most of the game only allowing 2 runs. Those 2 runs came off the hands of a James Holowaty with a two-run home run in the 6th. Keshane pitched all 7 innings and had a 3-run home run in the 6-2 victory.

In the late game the Fishing Lake Cubs and Rosebud Royals had a high scoring affair. Pitchers Corbett Sabit and Jeff Paquachan threw for the Cubs while James Holowaty took the hill for the Royals. The Royals jumped to an early 6-1 lead after 3 and picked up a few more in the top of the 4th. The Cubs answered back bringing the game to a two run affair 10 to 8. In the end the Royals bats proved to be too much with a 23-11 victory for Rosebud. The Royals, Shaun Bourgeois, and Scott Comfort both hit Home Runs.

June 5th in Foam Lake: Foam Lake Merchants played host to the Wynyard Blues and Wadena Wildcats Sunday Afternoon. A Taylor Jordan (pictured) GRAND SLAM in the 6th proved to be enough for the Blues to pick up the win in game one while the Merchants rebounded with a win over the Wildcats.

Foam Lake Merchants bats were on fire in their second game of the day in Foam Lake Sunday June 5th. For Foam Lake Garth Anderson started the game Ryan Junop came in the fourth and Danny Koropatnicki finished up the game.

June 3rd in Foam Lake, The Foam Lake Merchants picked away at the Mariners scoring at least one run from the 2nd to 5th innings in a 6-2 victory over the Fishing Lake Mariners. Mariners Pitcher Dusty Keshane tried to rally the troops with a 2 run home run in the 6th but that was the only points the Mariners were able to pick up against the Merchants Ace James Anderson. Next action for the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League is a double header this Sunday June 5th in Foam Lake with the Wynyard Blues vs the Merchants at 2:30PM followed by the Wadena Wildcats vs the Merchants at 5:00.

June 1st in Wadena, Wadena Wildcats at Fishing Lake Mariners, Final Score 7-4 for Mariners. Winning pitcher for the Mariners was Dusty Keshane who also hit a home run in the game. Mariners Wade Natowcappo went 3-3 with two RBI’s and Kevin Paquachan came off the bench with a 2 RBI base hit. Koltin Paquachon was pitching for Wadena. It was a nice night for ball finishing under the lights at Fishing Lake.

May 31st in Wadena, Foam Lake Merchants @Wadena Wildcats, Foam lake beat Wadena 13-1. The Only home run was hit by Brennen Hack from the Merchants. The Anderson brothers pitched for the Merchants with James pitching the 1st 5 innings and Garth closing it out in the last 2. Wadena pitchers were Lucas Ochitwa for the 1st 4 innings and Nathen Pomedli finished the game. The lone run for Wadena was scored by Brody Rumbold.

SUMMARY:
The Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League saw one game Thursday with the Fishing Lake Cubs and Rosebud Royals battled to an 8-8 tie in Wadena. The Cubs started out quick batting their lead off batter around in the top of the 1st to take the lead. The Royals had a four run inning in the 2nd with 4 straight singles followed by a triple to clear the bases by Carson Scheschuk, who went 3 for 3 on the day. The Cubs answered back with back-to-back 3 run innings in 3 and 4. With three more in the 4th the Royals took a 1 run lead into the 7th when Cubs tied the affair for an 8-8 finish. Corbett Sabit pitched all 7 innings while the Royals had Lucas Ochitwa pitch 4 and Steve Moulding pitch 3 innings.
