The Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League Playoff Tournament set for Saturday June 25th in Wadena. The playoff tournament is a 6-team double knockout starting at 9:00 AM. The A vs B final is set for 4:00 with the last game set for 6:00 if necessary (if B side winners beat A side winners).

Wynyard is visiting Fishing Lake June 22 to face the Fishing Lake Mariners at 7:00 and the Fishing Lake Cubs at 9:00. The Wadena Wildcats visit Fishing Lake to face the Cubs Thursday at 7:00.

RECENT RESULTS:
Tuesday June 21st in Wynyard SK, the Wynyard Blues kept their undefeated season alive against the Rosebud Royals. The Blues jumped out to a big lead with 6 in the first and 3 in the second. The Royals battled back bringing the game to 10-9 through 5 and a half. In the end the Blues took game with a final score 13-9. The Blues pitched by committee with Josh Jordan, Brent Pitzel and Mike Jordan pitching with Pitzle getting the win. The Royals sent Lucas Ochitwa to the mount for the complete game.

Monday June 20th in Foam Lake, The Royals Brady Linnen hit a lead off home run but the Merchants answered back and jumped out to an early lead and held it against the Royals. Winning pitcher was Kevin Garinger with Ryan Junop coming in for the 6th. The Royals send James Holowaty and Greg Tokarchuk to the mount. The Merchants Kevin Garinger, and Greg Beaudoin hit home runs with Mark Meldrum hitting a Grand Slam. Logan Kristjanson went 4 for 4, Korby Koshman went 3 for 3 and Brady Linnen was a triple shy of the cycle going 4 for 4. Final score was 22-11

Monday June 20th Fishing Lake Cubs vs Fishing Lake Mariners. Final score 13-8 Mariners. Winning pitcher Dusty Keshane, with Corbitt Sabit pitching for the Cubs. Cameron Nataucappo for the Mariners and the Cubs Kelly Kayseas hit home runs.

Fishing Lake Mariners defeated the Foam Lake Merchants 9-0 Tuesday night. Winning pitcher was Dusty Keshane, while Garth Anderson pitched for the Merchants. Dusty Keshane hit two solo home runs with Terrence Keshane hit a 2-run home run.

SUMMARY:

The Rosebud Royals jumped to an early lead against the Wynyard Blues with 3 in the first but the Blues responded with 7 runs in the following 3 innings. The Royals got one more in the 6th but fell short 7-4. Mike Jordan pitched the complete game for the Blues and hit the lone home run in the game. James Holowaty and Steve Moulding split the pitching duties for the Royals. GAME SUMMARY WILDCATS VS ROYALS:

It was an all Wadena battle in the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League on June 9th. The young guns came out on top with the Wadena Wildcats defeating the Rosebud Royals 15 to 6. The Wildcats starter Koltin Paquachan kept the Royals bats quiet only allowing 1 run through 4 innings and he also helped his cause with a 2 run home run. The Royals threatened in the 3rd with loaded bases, no outs and the top of the order up to bat but they only managed one run against the young pitcher. Nathan Pomedli closed out the game for the Wildcats while the veteran Royals sent Steve Moulding to the mound for 5 innings with Greg Tokarchuk pitching the last two. The Wildcats Dylon Murias went 3-3 plus a walk and the Royals Mark Sweatman was on base each at bat with two hits and a walk.
