After the game the Royals stuck around to finish off their home dugout they were installing in time for the New Zealand International Softball Academy double header on Saturday. The Royals upgraded their Home Dugout and one more dugout on a second diamond. The Royals project used materials supplied by Wadena Coop with some of those materials donated by the Wadena Coop and some backhoe work donated by Doug Ward and Four Ward Holdings. The Dugout is one of a few of the upgrades happening at the McClymont Lions Sports Grounds, thanks to the Town of Wadena and companies like Wadena Co-op, Four Ward Holdings, and Diamond Sponsor RE/MAX Blue Chip Realty. The addition of the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball league and a huge jump in Minor Ball Numbers have given some new life to Ball in Wadena and the sports grounds.
