Foam Lake Merchants got ahead 10-6 going into the bottom of 7. The neutral site crowd in Sheho was treated to some excitement when home town boy Chad Sebulsky hit a 3 run Homerun to bring the Rockets within 1 but that was all the Rockets could muster in their last attempt. Merchants won 10-9.

Da Boyz 9
Rosebud Royals 15

WP Dylon Murias

Rosebud Royals kept a few runs ahead of Da Boyz during the game, then broke it open in the 6th batting around the order. Royals Pitcher Dylon Murias had his first complete game win holding the Gordon’s Squad off through the 7 inning game.

After the game the Royals stuck around to finish off their home dugout they were installing in time for the New Zealand International Softball Academy double header on Saturday. The Royals upgraded their Home Dugout and one more dugout on a second diamond. The Royals project used materials supplied by Wadena Coop with some of those materials donated by the Wadena Coop and some backhoe work donated by Doug Ward and Four Ward Holdings. The Dugout is one of a few of the upgrades happening at the McClymont Lions Sports Grounds, thanks to the Town of Wadena and companies like Wadena Co-op, Four Ward Holdings, and Diamond Sponsor RE/MAX Blue Chip Realty. The addition of the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball league and a huge jump in Minor Ball Numbers have given some new life to Ball in Wadena and the sports grounds.

Upcoming Games:
Wednesday’s Double Header between the Wadena Wildcats and Wynyard Blues has been postponed with a date to be determined.
Thursday June 14th 7:00: Rhein Rockets at Fishing Lake Cubs
Friday June 15th 7:00: Stoney Creek Braves at Foam Lake Merchants.
