Playoffs Resumed in Foam Lake Monday
The Foam Lake Merchants, Fishing Lake Mariners and Wadena Wildcats took advantage of some dry conditions tonight to play some games that were delayed due to Saturday’s rain out in Wadena. The Mariners and Wildcats visited Foam Lake to continue the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League Playoffs Monday June 27th. The Mariners faced the Merchants in their A-Semifinal game at 6:30. The Mariners Ace Dusty Keshane stymied the Foam Lake bats with a complete game one hitter. The Merchants James Anderson kept the Mariners to 4 runs but that proved to be enough as the Merchants bats could only muster up one run.
In game two the Wadena Wildcats faced the Merchants in the B-Side. The Merchants got 3 in the first and 4 in the second which proved to be enough as the Wildcats could only get 3 runs of veteran James Anderson. Nathan Pomedli pitched the entire game for the Wildcats in their last league game of the season.
The Double knockout playoffs will continue in Wadena Friday July 1st at 6:00 PM with the Rosebud Royals facing the Fishing Lake Cubs. The Mariners will face the Wynyard Blues in the A-Final of the double knockout draw with the date TBD. Dates are also TBD for the winners of the Royals/Cubs against the Foam Lake Merchants.
